Euro 2012: France vs England

Frnace versus England was supposed to be another big game between two nations with a lot of football history between them, but for me this was the most boring game of the tournament so far. England started with a lot of passion and energy, but after 20 minutes this died in the heat of the Ukraine. France kept the ball beter, passing from left to right and England withdrew to their own 16 yard area. Still, England managed to score first through a Lescott header, but this only spurred France on more and within 10 minutes Samir Nasri scored for France. From then on France seemed the team more likely to score, but both teams were very cautious in their play making for sleep inducing viewing. England just about retreated past their own goal line, but France could not find a way through. In the end I think both teams were happy with a point from their first game. [36 photos total]
