Photographer Daniel Cheong's photos of Dubai's foggy, colourful nights give a unique perspective on one of the United Arab Emirates fastest-rising cities: From up above it all.

Cheong goes up the city's tall buildings and in helicopters to capture the stunning views of the city, and brings them to life with some careful editing after.

Dubai Marina Show. To take this photo, Cheong and a friend snuck onto the 48th floor of a building to gain access to the rooftop and helipad, however they were spotted by a guard while staked out.
